Directions to the Blockade Runner
Wrightsville Beach, NC

FROM THE NORTH —
  1. Take I-40 East into Wilmington (I-40 becomes Route 132 South/College Road).
  2. Stay on College Road past shopping area and UNC-W on left.
  3. Merge into left lane at Wilshire Avenue intersection (Kmart is on the left).
  4. Left turn onto Wrightsville Avenue at the light (Tomatoz Restaurant and Exxon on left).
  5. Stay on Wrightsville Avenue until light at Military Cutoff Drive (approximately 4 miles).
  6. Proceed straight through the light. Street becomes Airlie Road.
  7. Take Airlie Road to dead end and yield to the right onto Eastwood Road, over bridge.
  8. After the bridge, there is a split in the road. Bear to the right and proceed over the next causeway bridge.
  9. At the light, turn right onto Waynick Boulevard.
  10. Blockade Runner is ¼ mile on left (275 Waynick Blvd.).
FROM THE SOUTH AND WEST —
  1. There are generally two approaches to Wilmington from the south and west: either US 74, 76, and 17 or US 421.
  2. Entering on US 421, you have two options:
    Option A: If you want to visit the historic section of Wilmington, continue on 421 over the Third Street Bridge. After visiting downtown, continue on 421 south and east until it merges with US 76. Take US 76 to Wrightsville Beach.
    Option B: Do not take the Third Street bridge but continue until 421 merges with US 74, 76, and 17.
  3. Entering on US 74, 76, 17: Continue on US 74, 76, 17, and 421 over the bridge. As you cross the bridge, continue on US 76 north and east (Oleander Drive).
  4. Continue on US 76 and bear right after 76 crosses Bradley Creek and Wrightsville Avenue.
  5. US 76 merges with Eastwood Road across the Intracoastal Waterway.
  6. After the bridge, there is a split in the road. Bear to the right and proceed over the next causeway bridge.
  7. At the light, turn right onto Waynick Boulevard. Masonboro Sound will be on your right.
  8. Blockade Runner is ¼ mile on left (275 Waynick Blvd.).
