Call for Presentations

Do you ever reach that point in the semester when you wonder why your students are in college? When you wonder if their desire for a degree is fueled only by their desire for a job with a high salary? Do you ever idealistically wish for a classroom full of students who love to learn the way we all did when we were children? Why do some students lose that love? What can we do to reawaken it?

For thirty-five years, CEI presenters have shared their knowledge, ideas, projects, assignments, and enthusiasm. If you have any ideas you would like to share with your fellow/sister English instructors, now is your chance! There will be nine 1-hour sessions on Monday: 10-30-11:30, 1:15-2:15, and 2:30-3:30 as well as three 1-hour sessions on Tuesday: 10:30-11:30

Information Needed:

Your name, title, school, presentation title, two to three sentence abstract, equipment (or other) needs, session time preference (if necessary).
Three presentations will be available each session, and each presentation should be approximately 60 minutes long, including discussion time and/or questions.
CEI needs nine presenters for Monday and three presenters for Tuesday. Presiders are also needed for each session to announce the presenter(s), distribute and collect evaluation forms, and watch the clock. Please volunteer as a presider.
Monday concurrent sessions: 10:30-11:30 a.m., 1:15-2:15, and 2:00-3:30 p.m.
Tuesday concurrent sessions: 10:30-11:30 a.m.
