- If you are registered for a distance learning class, click on the Login link on the left side. When prompted for your user name, type (in lower case letters) your last name, followed by the first initial of your first name, followed by the last three digits of your SSN (Social Security number), with no spaces between characters. For your password, type the last five digits of your SSN. For instance, if your name is John Smith and your SSN is 123-45-6789, then your user name would be smithj789 and your password would be 56789. When you leave the computer, be sure to click on the "Logout" button to prevent someone else from accessing your records. - If you are not registered or if you registered late, you will be added to the Blackboard class roster when you attend the Required Orientation scheduled in the Schedule of Classes (PDF). If you missed the orientation, please send your instructor an email message asking for further instructions: SCC Faculty Directory.
- If your classroom class has a distance learning component, your instructor will add you to the Blackboard class roster when you attend your first class.
- Distance Learning Support: Inside each Blackboard course is a small "Help" icon at the top of the course site. The "Help" icon will give you access to many student resources and college resources to help you succeed in your distance learning course.
