College Transfer Programs
Associate in Arts, Associate in Fine Arts, and Associate in Science degree programs are designed for transfer to any of the 16 universities in the University of North Carolina System. These degrees also transfer to private colleges and other colleges and universities out of state. The Associate in General Education degree may transfer but is designed for students to plan their own course of study for a two-year degree of general education and special interest courses.

Applied Science Programs
One-semester
certificate, one-year diploma, and two-year Associate in Applied
Science degree programs are designed for employment rather than
transfer. In some cases, however, articulation agreements between
Sandhills Community College and senior institutions (e.g., some of the
engineering technologies, child care, nursing, etc.) have made it
possible to transfer AAS degrees into a BS program.
